Human Resources- Executive Program,

The Master of Science in Human Resources (MSHR) program from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business centers on leadership and engagement of people in organizations.  This program offers a competency-based curriculum that engages students in real-world projects and experiences.

Accredited Educational Experience.  Backed by Utah State University’s reputation as a first-rate academic institution, and fully accredited by the Northwest Association of Colleges and Schools and AACSB International.

Courses are delivered via state of the art video conferencing technology. Students meet at a designated time and location.

Admissions

Students must be admitted to the USU School of Graduate Studies.

You will need to submit the following items online to the School of Graduate Studies:

  • Application, www.usu.edu/graduateschool/apply
  • $55 nonrefundable application fee
  • Official transcripts  from colleges or         universities you have attended
  • *Three letters of recommendation (two from faculty members.) Prospective students who have been out of school for more than two years may submit three professional letters of recommendation.
  • GMAT or GRE test scores
  • TOEFL Scores: 213 Computer, 79 Internet (International Students)
  • Resume
  • 1 page summary of career goals and objectives.

 The application and fee are needed to begin the application process. All items must be received by the School of Graduate Studies before the application is considered complete.

Lean Enterprise.  In partnership with the Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence, housed at USU, Huntsman School students experience first-hand how lean principles align with daily operations to enhance performance across the enterprise.

Global HR and Leadership Experience.  A key component of the MSHR program is an intensive international experience. Students travel with faculty and/or a senior HR executive to multiple international sites, gaining a unique perspective on the challenges of HR and leadership in global enterprises.

Cohort Experience.  Students enter and complete the program in a cohort.  The cohort is comprised of professionals from across the state of Utah, with diverse backgrounds and experiences.   The net result of this intense, shared experience is that cohorts generally evolve into a lifelong network of colleagues and friends.

In Your Community.  No need to quit your job or relocate.  Courses are offered Friday evenings, 6-10 p.m. and Saturdays 8 – noon.  Students may attend face-to-face or via interactive broadcast, depending on location.  Courses are available throughout USU’s extensive network of regional campuses and education centers.
